Plumas Corporation, on behalf of the Plumas County Fire Safe Council, is seeking the professional services of a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) licensed in the State of California to act as a consultant. The consultant(s) will design, develop, coordinate and implement one to three of the following private lands fuels reduction projects: 1) Greenhorn Subdivision, 2) Whitehawk Ranch and 3) on Grizzly Creek Road during 2005-2006. RPF should provide proposals on the projects described below.

The RPF(s) will be working closely with the Plumas County Fire Safe Council, private landowners, University of California Cooperative Extension and Plumas Corporation in the selection of specific acreages to be treated and the treatment regime. The basic prescription is “thin from below” with the objective to reduce the expected flame length on the treated acres to 2'-4'.
